My only real resolutions this year, I think, are just to continue to better myself as a person and to grow closer in my relationship with God, because the closer I  get to Him, I find the happier I am!! : ) RIC

ChristyNott, I am so, so, so, sorry to hear about the loss of your child, I can not even begin to know how that feel. I am so thankful that you have the Lord in your life to get you through. He is the only way to help us survive heartache. I pray that you continue to grow in your walk and relationship in Him. On a more happier note, Congratulations on your publishing of your book!! How awesome. I just lost my friend/neighbor to suicide a couple weeks ago (Dec. 18th), he dealt with depression, but none of us knew that unfortunately. This book will be wonderful for those who suffer from this, good for you....

Best of luck to all those who have made resolutions.

Anne, I didn't even think about any resolutions, but I think my goal is the same as yours to learn to wait on God, and to let go of my fear and doubt.  It's an ongoing thing for me.  I take two steps forward and one step back, but I will keep working on it!

Christy, congrats on the contract.  I hope your Christmas was full of blessings.

I hace lots of resolutions for 2009.  I usually don't do resolutions, but I am feeling the need to this year.  My biggest one is for patience and waiting on God.  Hard stuff for me.  I try to take what is not mine and I am notorious for "jumping the gun" and sometimes I end up in a bind or painting myself into that proverbial corner.  Big time. 

So, for the new year, I'm praying for both patience and the wisdom of Solomon.  And continued confidence in knowing for sure that God is always with me even when I mess up really bad or feel really alone.  

And of course, in the new year I pray that all of you will find renewed strength in your relationship with Christ and that you tap into the joy that he has planted deep within your hearts.

Hello Everyone-

WOW!! It's been sooo long. I have been so busy busy busy with work and Christmas shopping and everything. I hope that all of you ladies and your respective families have been well. Mrs. moore, i think the guy that made the pass at you was more in the wrong than you were. (Esp. if he KNEW for a FACT that you are a married woman.) Maybe you were flattered by the attention this man showed you, and responded a little bit, I don't know. i mean this is not right, of course, BUT we are all human beings, who unfortunately do fail at times.

Anyway, i hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas, and a healthy, joyous, blessed 2009.

Hi ladies!!

 It has been 2 months since I've been on and I have missed you all.  It was great to catch up on what some of you are doing and I will be praying for you. 

When I fisrt joined this group several months ago, I shared that I had written a book and was trying to get it published.  2 weeks ago I signed a contract with a publisher!!  This book is a devotional for those that struggle with bipolar and for those that love them.

This is a hard time of year for me.  So many things are going well, but the pain of losing a child 14 years ago still creeps up on me during the Christmas season.  (We adopted him & his birth mother came back and took him at 6 months 12/30/94)

God has been good and helped me to deal with the pain of losing him and eventually my husband moved on. 

I hope to keep in better contact with all of you.

I haven't been on in awhile and my profile says I have a message, but I cant get into it.  Is anyone else having that problem?
