By the way everyone. I'm Lisa originally from the western slopes of Colorado but now living in Georgia. I lived for 8 years in St. Augustine, Florida but then returned to Georgia to finish school.
I'm currently an EMT student and trying to finish my bachelors of science.
I enjoy traveling and try to do as much as possible. I haven't made it out of the country yet but that is the next step. I still have a lot to see here in the US but have been to every state with the exception of about 7 or 8 states.
My greatest enjoyment when I travel is hiking and seeing different museums, historical sites, and cities. I also enjoy the experience of trying the local fares and always attempt to get recommendations from locals on places that they enjoy eatting at not what is popular to the tourists.

Fancypants941. What do you want specifically? Beach views or would staying in town be more to your liking? I lived there for 5 years and would be happy to answer any questions. I also have a few restaurants to suggest.

Greetings from North Texas. I am new to the group and wanted to say howdy. I grew up the daughter of an airline employee so we traveled a lot within the USA until I graduated from HS. We went to Disney Land and Disney World, San Franciso, Key West in Florida, Washington DC, etc. After HS graduation I traveled to Southern England in 1987 (near Paighton) with a church group and toured London and Wales. I have always wanted to return. I traveled to Victoria BC, Canada in 1990 with another church group, The Grand Canyon in the winter of 1998, but I was unable to see the canyon due to fog. I spent two weeks on the island of Oauihu, Hawaii in 1998 visiting one of my best friends from HS, whose husband was stationed over there at the time. I had always wanted to see New England in the Fall so I traveled with my soon to be husband to New Hampshire in 2001, then again in the winter of 2002, We spent 5-days in Cozumel Mexico in 2002 for our Honeymoon. Sadly we divorced in 2006 after enduring a very emotional and painful marriage as a result of our only child being born still in July '02. We named him Kolton Geoffrey. We never had time to bond so our marriage never recovered from our loss. I found my love of travel again during Thanksgiving of 2005 and flew to Sacremento, CA to visit family then drove down to San Diego, CA to see friends and additional family. Went to Sea World and the San Diego Zoo. I was fortunate enough to travel Boston, MA this past summer with one of my friends and co-worker, Kristen, who is from that area. This was the year the Tall Ships sailed in to Newport Harbor. WOW... impressive. Boston was pretty in the summer, but the coast was still cool. I traveled alone to Salem and Glouster, north of Boston before returning home. In case you don’t recognize Glouster, that is the story line of the movie "The Perfect Storm", staring George Clooney and Mark Walburg.

Hello Everyone. This is my first visit and am glad to find this group. I LOVE to travel and see new places, but at this time my finanices dictate I stay home. I have been on Social Security Disability for the last 5 years so my income is limited and at this time doesn't include traveling. . I live alone and it gets very lonily and would love to get out more. If you guys would join me then I Could JOIN YOU in Traveling. I have been fighting this depression and lonliness for far too long. Please pray for me to get out of this negative financial and life cycle I am stuck in. My kids have gone their own way and I have no family close around. Thank you group in advance for your prayers. I am trying to change this situation and would appreciate your prayers. I joined a homebased company YTB trying to earn an income from my home. I now have my own travel website www.dreamcations.com check it out. Since you are already traveling I can show you how to earn money and make your travels a business deduction from your taxes. WE could make a TCW group CRUISE! That would be fun Please pray for this business to be a success and I can travel at 1/2 price on Familarization trips all over the world. I really need a break in life.-Renae

jhood, I know exactly where Medicine park is at. I went to job corp at Treasure Lake. You're right, it is an awesome place, very beautiful. I love the Wichita Moutain Wildlife Refuge. You can go walking on the trails and it is just you and nature. I loved it. Of course I came back home to Louisiana in August of "92". RIC

Well Roxy, after a lot of prayer I feel that God is wanting me to move to Malawi in November. I Might even go back when I leave Romania in Sept. That will be up to God though. But either way, I'll be living there come Christmas. RIC

Roxy, I watched the video and it seemed to be an awesome trip. The orphanage I worked on was not in opperation yet. I did get to spend some time with the kids there though. There were so many I wanted to bring home with me. I saw hundreds of kids just roaming and ranging from 18 months to about 11 or 12. I can't think about it with out wanting to cry because it is so sad that these kids have no where to call home or no body to call Mom or Dad. I will be going back to Malawi July 21. I'll be for 3 weeks preaching 2 cruisades and teaching discipleship training for a week. I can't wait to get there. RIC
