I am assuming that since its summer and there ahve been no coments since February that everybody is out having fun with watersports. Well, I just moved to the Smoky Mountains and live right across from a great river where everybody tubes and kayaks. And I have been working so much I haven't had time to go kayaking once. And so my kayak sits high and dry on my porch.........pray for me in my time of sorrow. RIC

well not exactly, the guy at the store (Rutabega's in Madison) tied it on all weak. I got a few miles down the highway and whump! it floped over. I tried to tighten it but didn't know much about boating knots (I learned a lot since then), so after a few tries I gave up and shoved it in the back of the van. I can tie it on now to make it stay through a hurricane! :) RIC

wow.. so when you realized you didn't know how to tie it to the roof, you just set it on? those things are so lightweight they will fly off with no wind RIC

lol, I bought a cheap used one and drove seven hours to get it! Didn't know how to tie it on the roof of the van and there were like 45 mph winds! It blew off and I had to throw it in the back and drive home with the back of the van open...7 hours...in 55 degree weather! But it was worth it! had lots of fun with that ol kayak! RIC

neither do I, last time I almost killed myself on the ohio river. :) Just don't have too many places to go. I also made a homemade sail for my kayak. Now THAT is fun! RIC
