I Have a Dream!

Group Description

It is vital that we have a dream, and maybe more than one! God's people are characterized by wild, over-the-top dreams that only a wild, over-the-top God could help us fulfill! That's why this passage , from Psalm 126, is one of my favorite dream-boosters:

1 When the LORD brought back the captives to Zion, we were like men who dreamed.

2 Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, "The LORD has done great things for them."

3 The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.

When people see God do an amazing work in your life, when He fulfills a dream, when He turns around your captivity, people will notice! And they will attribute this amazing work to God-no one will be able to refute that a great God did a great work in making a great dream come true. And notice the lovely by-product of this miracle- you will be filled with joy. You will sigh in satisfaction. You will look heavenward but will also be busy with the joy of your heart for as long as you're here on earth.... because you've got a Dream.

EVERYONE is WELCOME to join in on this group!!  Whether you have a BIG Dream..or are just starting to dream big.

andi is our Prayer Coordinator.

Heavenbound is our Record Keeper who will record everyone's dream.

I have a prayer request.  I am applying for a promotion at the company I am currently working at. It seems rather unlikely in the natural that I should get it, because it is at the level of the bosses over my boss. BUT I know that God's will prevails no matter what. BUT I am praying/believing for this to happen, because it will set me ahead SIGNIFICANTLY both professionally, and personally, because it will enable me to get back on my feet financially, move back out on my own, and try to get back together with the man that I still love, and never stopped loving.

Well, I hope that all of you ladies and your respective families are all well. Take care and God bless.

Peace and Love,

Donna

This is such a wonderful story....

Quilt of Holes

As I faced my Maker at the last judgment, I knelt before the Lord along with all the other souls.

Before each of us laid our lives like the squares of a quilt in many piles; an angel sat before each of us sewing our quilt squares together into a tapestry that is our life.

But as my angel took each piece of cloth off the pile, I noticed how ragged and empty each of my squares was. They were filled with giant holes. Each square was labeled with a part of my life that had been difficult, the challenges and temptations I was faced with in every day life. I saw hardships that I endured, which were the largest holes of all.

I glanced around me. Nobody else had such squares. Other than a tiny hole here and there, the other tapestries were filled with rich color and the right hues of worldly fortune. I gazed upon m y own life and was disheartened.

My angel was sewing the ragged pieces of cloth together, threadbare and empty, like binding air.

Finally the time came when each life was to be displayed, held up to the light, the scrutiny of truth. The others rose; each in turn, holding up their tapestries. So filled their lives had been. My angel looked upon me, and nodded for me to rise.

My gaze dropped to the ground in shame. I hadn't had all the earthly fortunes. I had love in my life, and laughter. But there had also been trials of illness, and wealth, and false accusations that took from me my world, as I knew it. I had to start over many times. I often struggled with the temptation to quit, only to somehow muster the strength to pick up and begin again. I spent many nights on my knees in prayer, asking for help and guidance in my life. I had often been held up to ridicule, which I endured painfully, each time offering it up to the Father in hopes that I would not mel t within my skin beneath the judgmental gaze of those who unfairly judged me.

And now, I had to face the truth. My life was what it was, and I had to accept it for what it was.

I rose and slowly lifted the combined squares of my life to the light.

An awe-filled gasp filled the air. I gazed around at the others who stared at me with wide eyes.

Then, I looked upon the tapestry before me. Light flooded the many holes, creating an image, the face of Christ. Then our Lord stood before me, with warmth and love in His eyes. He said, 'Every time you gave over your life to Me, it became My life, My hardships, and My struggles.

Each point of light in your life is when you stepped aside and let Me shine through, until there was more of Me than there was of you.'

May all our quilts be threadbare and worn, allowing Christ to shine through!

God determines who walks into your life....it's up to you to decide who you let walk away, who you let stay, and who you refuse to let go.'

I need this back. If you'll do this for me, I'll do it for you....When there is nothing left but God that is when you find out that God is all you need.

Take 60 seconds and give this a shot! All you do is simply say the following small prayer for the person who sent you this.

Father, God bless all my friends in whatever it is that you know they may need this day! And may their life be full of your peace, prosperity and power as he/she seeks to have a closer relationship with you. Amen.

Let it go for 200 8

By T. D. Jakes

There are people who can walk away from you.

And hear me when I tell you this! When people can walk
away from you: let them walk.  I don't want you to try to talk another person into staying with you, loving you, calling you, caring about you, coming to see you, staying attached to you. I mean hang up the phone.

When people can walk away from you let them walk.
Your destiny is never tied to anybody that left.

The bible said that, they came out from us
that it might be made manifest that they were not for us. For had they been of us, no doubt they would have continued with us. [1 John 2:19]

People leave you because they are not joined to you.
And if they are not joined to you, you can't make them stay.

 Let them go.

And it doesn't mean that they are a bad person it just means that their part in the story is over. And you've got to know when people's part in your story is over so that you don't keep trying to raise the dead.
You've got to know when it's dead.

You've got to know when it's over. Let me tell you
something. I've got the gift of good-bye. It's the ten! th spiritual gift, I believe in good-bye. It's not that I'm hateful, it's that I'm faithful, and I know whatever God means for me to have He'll give it to me. And if it takes too much sweat I don't need it. Stop begging people to stay.

Let them go!!

If you are holding on to something that doesn't belong to you and was never intended for your life, then you need to......

LET IT GO!!!

If you are holding on to past hurts and pains ............

LET IT GO!!!

If someone can't treat you right, love you back, and
see your worth.....

LET IT GO!!!

If someone has angered you.

LET IT GO!!!

If you are holding on to some thoughts of evil and revenge......

LET IT GO!!!

If you are involved in a wrong relationship or addiction......

LET IT GO!!!

If you are holding on to a job that no longer meets your needs or talents

LET IT GO!!!

If you have a bad attitude.....

LET IT GO!!!

If you keep judging others to make yourself feel better......

LET IT GO!!!

If you're stuck in the past and God is trying to take you to a new level in Him........

LET IT GO!!!

If you are struggling with the healing of a broken relationship.......

LET IT GO!!!

If you keep trying to help someone who won't even try to help themselves......

LET IT GO!!!

If you're feeling depressed and stressed ..................

LET IT GO!!!

If there is a particular situation that you are so used to handling yourself   and God is saying "take your hands off of it,"   then you need to.....

LET IT GO!!!

Let the past be the past. Forget the former things. GOD is doing a new thing for 20 0 8 !!!

LET IT GO!! !!

Get Right or Get Left ... think about it, and then.

LET IT G O!!!

"The Battle is the Lord's!"

During the next 60 seconds, Stop whatever you are
doing, and take this opportunity. (Literally it is only ONE minute!)

All you have to do is the following:

You simply say "The Lords Prayer" for yourself and for the person that
sent you this message:

The Lords Prayer

Our Father, who are in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name, Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.   Give us this day, our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.   For Thine is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory, forever.

Amen.

I would really like to join this group.  This is becoming a life changing year for me.  Last June I turned 50 and it seemed to be a wake up call.  My last son is almost finished high school and my job as a mother is changing.  I teach school almost full time as well and it is very fulfilling.  I have always wanted to write and do more studying and research.  This fall I was able to take a master's level course in aboriginal and world indigenous education. This connected with my past and present experiences.  I also started therapy to deal with personal issues and to learn to reach for my dreams.  Just a few weeks ago I was accepted full time for a master's of education program for next fall and have put in for a leave of absence at work.  Needless to say there will be challenges ahead.  I am apprehensive, but also excited.  I have also grown closer to the Lord as I have reflected on His love and direction.  I am reminded of the story of Joseph who had his dreams and then spent time as a slave and a prisoner before they were fulfilled.  God keeps the sparks alive and He ignites them at the proper time.  We can burn for Him..... He wants to shine through us.  Pray as I take these steps that I will follow Him, that others in my family will understand and that God will be glorified.

Looking forward to sharing with all of you - Judy (mom5boys)

I'd like to eliminate some "busy work", Judy- but  I'm struggling more with doing things that are good, but not necessarily real effective.

The problem is, I can't always tell if I am being fruitful and effective. Sometimes God shows us the results later on, years after we've labored at something. And sometimes, I think, we need to take a closer look, now, and be honest if we are wasting our time at something.

I'm just starting a new book called, LIVE LIKE YOU'RE BLESSED by Dr. Suzan Johnson Cook. I have a feeling that the title alone is going to motivate me!

I've been asking myself this question lately:

What activities am I involved in, that are simply "busy work", and keep me from living out my God-given potential that I can eliminate from my schedule?

God gave us each a unique design and a unique purpose but often we don't live up to the potential he has planned for us. We slip into mediocrity. We allow life to take us in many different directions which dilutes the difference we can make in the world.

It's so important that we embrace who God created us to be and that we live out our purpose with intentionality. Unless we are intentional about how we spend our time and what we focus on, we miss out on living up to our potential.

What's one small thing you can begin doing differently in your life in order to begin to fully live up to your God-given potential?

That was said wonderful, Lauren! I have been praying about my growing in the Lord and I know He is really been working in my life. I am so Blessed everyday with His faithfulness and love for me. Flwrpetals-

you got me thinkning about what you said and I can picture it this way:

What we know (head knowledge) + what we learn experientially= what we manifest or act out.

I so want to really LIVE out all that I BELIEVE!

That's why we dare to dream, isn't it? Because we know God is waiting for us to live out what He has put inside us.

Hello Ladies ~ I am new to the group but see a few faces I know from other groups. I feel that this is gonna be a wonderful spot for me. I have loads of dreams, but I think my most important dream is to grow to be more of a Prov. 31 wife and a more loving God Fearing mother. I also just started to be a Rep. for a new company that I heard about called Signature Homestyles. I usually don't do things like this but I prayed about it for along time and how I meet this lady was I know by God. I feel He just brought us together but we will see what happens. I will keep you's posted. I am hoping that I can use this to Glorify our Lord and try to share Christ with others. Hope to get to know alittle more about you's! God Bless,Bonnie RIC
