Group Description

Life4Christ is my online community. A community based on Christian fellowship, friendship, encouragement, and learning. We don't really debate or argue so much. Plenty of sites exist for that. L4C is a safe haven for Christians to just relax and discuss the latest news, share funny stories or problems and encourage and support one another. It is a place to build friendships, have fun, share problems, study God's word and mature in Christ. I hope to recreate that atmosphere here. RIC

This group was formed on 2/10/07.

Hello my brothers and sisters! Smile. I'm fiestyfem from Canada and I live in the province of British Columbia, on Vancouver Island. I also attend a Pentecostal church...we are part of the Assembly of God...previously though I've attended non denomination churchs like brethern and church of christ as well as a united church and I found all have helped my growth as a christian. My biggest concern at the moment in the issues raised in "An Inconvenient Truth" a movie I recently saw, which was a documentary on Global Warming, presented by Al Gore...the former Vice President of the USA. Very powerful movie, if you haven't seen it I highly recommend it. RIC

I am new to the group. I pray this will be an edifying experience. So many others debate doctrine. All I want is to discuss the Bible with others to gain a higher understanding of what God has for me. I was lead by the Spirit to read 1 Samuel. What a great book! I am now halfway through 2 Samuel. I am so blessed to read them. What do you think about them? RIC

Anyone ever heard of the Talk Jesus forums? If so, do not become a member there and if you already are, I suggest you observe a few things while logged-in. Talk Jesus restricts Biblical truth. It is administrated by a proponent of the "Gab It & Grab It" heresy better known as "Prosperity Gospel", which is a false teaching totally unsupportable by scriptures. And if anyone attempts to prove this doctrine is false, they are denied access to the forums and quietly put away. Prosperity doctrine attempts to convince you that it is God's will that all Christians are to be more prosperous than "sinners" (we are all sinners) in all areas of their lives and that if you are sick (even diabetic, or handicapped) or not making a six-figure paycheck then you are not saved or using your faith properly. Another tenant of this doctrine is that you must (and this is critical) tithe huge sums on cash to the prosperity pastor of your choice (i.e., Joel Osteen, Creflo Dollar, Joyce Meyer, Benny Hinn). Men who allegedly have "special" revelation that other Christians do not. Don't believe it for a second brothers and sisters. I believe in tithing. I believe that the Lord blesses his children. I believe that through faith and obedience to God's Word (as recorded in scripture) that we are granted grace and mercy in Christ Jesus. I also believe that the best blessings have nothing whatsoever to do with increasing the size of our bank accounts. The Bible teaches us that we are to be content with what the Lord gives us. That we are to focus not on the pleasures of this world, but to set our hearts upon the treasures we have awaiting us in Heaven, where neither moth nor rust corrupts, nor thieves break in to steal. We must resist the pernicious false doctrine of this heretical prosperity doctrine at all costs. Even now it spreads like a cancer through the body of Christ, taking unawares our brothers and sisters who do not know any better. If you would like some links to Apologetics websites and Christian ministries where resources can be found which prove conclusively that this doctrine is Biblically invalid and corrupt, just comment me and ask. I'll be more than happy to provide you with them. Your brother in Christ, L4C. RIC

God bless you! I'm Son Worshiper. I'm 35-years old (tomorrow!) and a non-denominational Christian. I was born into a Christian family and raised n two different churches. My mother was a Pentecostal, and my dad was a Methodist. We're all southerners (Louisiana), even if I was born in California. XD. Life4Christ is a group that's all about enjoying the company of other believers. Share life stories, discuss the latest headlines, ask for prayer, or whatever. We're all brothers and sisters in Christ. Let's act like it! One of the greatest things in the world is just kicking off your shoes after a hard day and talking with your loved ones about whatever's on your mind. So feel free to post whatever's on your heart.
