I have a prayer request.  I am applying for a promotion at the company I am currently working at. It seems rather unlikely in the natural that I should get it, because it is at the level of the bosses over my boss. BUT I know that God's will prevails no matter what. BUT I am praying/believing for this to happen, because it will set me ahead SIGNIFICANTLY both professionally, and personally, because it will enable me to get back on my feet financially, move back out on my own, and try to get back together with the man that I still love, and never stopped loving.

Well, I hope that all of you ladies and your respective families are all well. Take care and God bless.

Peace and Love,

Donna

blessedmama,

so sorry to hear about your friend. i will pray for her.  i hope she, and you, will take comfort in the fact that, although it is sad that she was not supposed to raise this child on earth, she will have that child to greet her when she arrives in heaven someday.  what a great day that will be for both of them!

wanted to give everyone an update on my mother in law. she is doing fine. she has decided to start a new treatment that involves getting shots for 3 months with no side effects. if that works well, she will not have to go through chemo. so, chad is hoping for that. i guess she had a rough time with it the first time.  we have not heard anything about his aunt, so we are assuming no news is good news!  but, as far as i know, chad and his family are all fine with his mom's diagnosis. i think it was just the initial shock of it in the beginning.  they are all very hopeful that something will happen in the next 5 years or so to help heal her.

thank you for all your prayers!  gotta run!

My friend just had a miscarriage. Could you all say a prayer for her? She is having a D&C  today. She has two children (5 & 3) at home too. She has had trouble in the past with pregnancy and was so hoping that this would last. She is the sweetest person, loves God dearly. I know that she will get through this because of her faith, but it still hurts.

Thanks.

Hello All!!!!

Boy have I missed you guys.  They've given me more hours at work and I work alot during the days.  That's when I use to do my writing.  When the kids get home the house gets crazzzzzyyyy!  I just brought me a Chronological Study Bible and most of my free time ( the little that I have) has been being used to explore my bible and catch up on reading.  My husband laughs at me and my "bible collection".  But what better way to spend your money???  To me each study bible has something different to give.

Hope everyone is doing ok.  I am still continuing to pray for you guys.  Recee, how's your husbands mom and aunt?  Cashmere, hows your husband?  Anthing thing else happen since the trip? I will be praying for you all.

Everyone please continue to pray for me.  Im still looking for a full time job for days.  I've had 3 different interviews and they all seem like they went good, but all of them decided to go with different canidates.  I havent been on the job market for awhile so I dont know if this is normal or not or if this is God telling me to just stay where I am.  I really dont understand.  Im having a hard time wondering if its me or not or if there is just alot of people out there looking for jobs.  Please keep me in your prayers and any encouragement or advise would be nice.

Hi Everyone,

I would like to add a prayer request for myself.

That god would heal me after having a condition were every month for the past 4 years, I become so fatigued that I need to go to bed early (during the day) I withdrawal socially, usually I am a social butterfly. We have a 3yr old that needs all my attention.  The Dr's have tried all kinds of test and they show nothing is wrong with me. They thought I was bi-polar but that was dismissed last week. After the 5Th day of this episode, I slowly come back to my normal self and feel good again for another 3 weeks.

Thank you all for your prayers!

Kathy

Hi Ladies,

I've been away for awhile.  A friend of mine had surgery and I have been taking care of her.  I just got home tonight.  She is doing well.  I have been praying for many of you.  For some reason I cannot get into my messages and I do have one.  So if you are the person that sent it to me, I am not ignoring you.

God has been good this week.  I was very nervous about taking care of my friend.  I am not very good with health issues, mental illness I can handle well.

Please pray for my work week, it will be a difficult one.  I have MANY things on my plate and not enough time to get them all completed.  Please pray for peace and efficiency.

I have also wondered what happened to kelliann. I have been holding her up in prayer.

Christy

hi everyone. i got this from a friend of mine through email and thought i would post it here.  i don't know that it really fits with the theme of "prayer request", but it is something that we could perhaps all pray about for each other and ourselves--that we are able to live how the author is essentially asking us to live.  i know i need to remind myself of this every now and then with my husband...

A PLEA FOR UNDERSTANDING
by Charles R. Swindoll

Read Job 2:1--9

I want to confess that for too long in my ministry I took unfair advantage of Job's wife, especially since she was not present to defend herself. I think it was probably due to immaturity on my part. Furthermore, I hadn't been married long enough to know better than to say those things. I cannot leave this one snapshot of Mrs. Job in the story without clarifying the record in her defense.

Now that you've seen the incredible disaster they shared, isn't it a little easier to understand how she could suggest, "Job, darling, let's just pull the plug. Don't go on. You can't keep living like this, I can't stand it. Curse God, and let Him take you home to be with Him." I think so. She's reached her limit and is willing to let him go. I'm not justifying the woman's reasoning as much as trying to understand it.

Always guard your words when your husband is going through terribly hard times. I want to confess something about us men. Mainly, I want you to remember: going through sustained hard times weakens most men. For some reason, hardship seems to strengthen women; we admire you for that. But we men are weakened when times of affliction hit and stay. In our weakened condition we lose our objectivity, sometimes our stability. Our discernment is also skewed. Our determination lags. We become vulnerable, and most men don't know how to handle themselves in a vulnerable state of mind. So in light of all of this---hear me---we need your clear perspective, wisdom, and spiritual strength. Most of all, we need you to pray for us as you've never prayed. We need not only your prayers, we need your emotional support. We need you to take the initiative and step up.

We need your words of confidence and encouragement. We even find it hard to say, "I need you right now." My wife could tell you that she lived with me for our first ten years of marriage before she ever thought I needed her. I finally admitted it and learned how to say it. In the lonely hours of a man's great trial, nobody's words mean more to him than his wife's words. That is one of the God-given reasons you and your partner were called to be together. When we husbands lose our way, you wives help us find our way back.

rece2000, I don't know anything about kellyann. I also hope she is okay. I talked to her on here about a week ago--I think, I loose track of time so easily. She & I were going to do a Bible study through here. She was so excited to find the book & get started. I thought it a little odd that I hadn't heard from her this week but the past week or so has been a bit crazy for me so I didn't get any farther than that. I find it odd that she just pulled out of all of this.

thank you for your prayers for Chad. He really needs God in his life & he doesn't seem to think so. We have turned him over to God & the counselor & are hoping the counselor can keep him in it long enough to get through to him. He is moving out of our house this weekend. I have mixed feelings about whether that is a good thing right now but can't do anything about it.

Going to bed. Chat with you later.

hi everyone. i haven't been on in a while, usually just to check quick things, but kylie is sleeping so thought i'd get caught up.  cashmere, i am so happy to hear that about your brother. it is uplifting when you see people trying to change their life for the better.  i will also say a prayer for your encouragement for your son that he is able to find his place.

does anyone know what happened to kellyann?  the 'profile picture' next to her comments she has made on my board says she no longer exists...  i hope she is ok?

For the most part I am staying encouraged. I am convinced God really wants to do something with him or there wouldn't be the HUGE spiritual battle between God & Satan for him. I am excited to see what God has planned for him. It may take someone outside of the church to get through to him but I also know that the pastor that is talking to him is awesome. He is very transparent about his life. He calls things as they are. If nothing else our son will have to admit at some point that the pastor is real & honest & has to be respected for that alone. God will do something here that I am becoming more convinced of. RIC
